senator john kerry to replace clinton as secretary of state in an overwhelming vote of 94 to 3. clinton was having an interactive online interview. as she heads out the door, she is leading -- leaving a legacy the most traveled secretary of state in history. more 950,000 miles, visited 112 countries and held 1700 meetings with world leaders. next up for the president today. he is talking immigration reform at 3:55 and 4:15. yesterday, obama unveiled his new immigration proposal for the country and urged congress to act quickly on immigration reforming the nation's laws. the president said his biggest failure in his first term was not accomplishing comprehensive immigration reform. this will term, he wants to see a quick path to citizenship for many of the country's 11 million illegal immigrants. lawmakers will have the senate's plan to consider which a bi-partisan group released on monday. in many aspects, they were similar. the senate's would call for tougher border control before granting citizenship to immigrants already in the country. more bill press i

want to show everybody, we just got this video in, senator john kerry's nomination for secretary of state, unanimously approved by voice vote on the senate foreign relations committee floor during the meeting that they had today. so that is moving forward now. the full senate expected to vote on kerry's nomination later today. but, again, smooth waters there for what looks like to be the next secretary of state, john kerry. so, again, that vote coming up this afternoon. we do want to move on, though, and talk about who will now be considered the former secretary of state after the vote this afternoon, hillary clinton. she had an opportunity to speak about what it's like to be living in such a bipartisan world of washington, d.c., right now. again, her farewell week has been really one of high aplomb, but take a look at this. >> but it's become more so, and it's also resulted in less productivity, you know? you can be partisan, you can have a strong sense of the rightness of your position, but democracy and certainly legislative bodies require compromise. and you can't let comprom

but thanks to doctors at johns hopkins he has arms again and if you are wondering how that is possible, linda so is live with more on how doctors performed this really amazing but complex transplant. linda. >> reporter: it's so complex. it took 13 hours. this is the first time that hopkins has performed a double arm transplant and later this morning, we will get to meet the soldier and the surgeon behind it all. a news conference is scheduled for 11 this morning. this is video from before the transplant. brendan marrocco is the first sold year to survive after losing all four limbs in the iraq war. he was injured by a roadside bomb in 2009. he underwent the complex transplant last month. it involves connecting bones, blood vessels and muscles and nerves and skin on both arms. the surgery involved an innovative treatment that used the dead donor's bone marrow cells to help prevent his body from rejecting the new limbs. the 13 hour operation was led by dr. andrew lee, the plastic surgery chief here at hopkins. marrocco is one of seven u.s. soldiers to received a successful double arm transplant
